CODE: Closers Community Guidelines

Recommended Posts

CODE: Closers Community Guidelines apply in-game, on the forums, and our official discord.

  • By creating an account within CODE: Closers you acknowledge that this account is property of CODE: Closers therefore we hold the right to lock or limit entry the them at any time, for any reason.
  • These forms of punishments listed within this broadcast are to be considered suggestions; depending on the severity of your actions, staff will punish accordingly
  • A ban of your forum account is permanent and cannot be appealed. In-game Bans and Discord Bans can be appealed through the [Ban Appeal] forum section.
  • The Community Guidelines can be changed and modified at any time. Notice of these changes will be made in a reply to the thread.

It is your responsibility as a CODE: Closers Agent to be aware of these possible changes and follow them. Ignorance to the rules or statements of not knowing or understanding the rules will not be accepted.

With the updating of our rules, all previous bans will still be in effect and the rule update will have no effect on them.

If you have a rulebreaker to report, please take all appropriate proof of the issue and report them in our [Rulebreakers] forum section.

CODE: Closers wishes to be a community in which all type of Agents are welcome to enjoy this server.
Because of this, acts that may lessen another agent's experience in-game or in our official discord are strictly prohibited.

This may include, but is not limited to:

  • Threatening another Agent, whether in-game or in real life.
  • Release of another Agent's personal information without their written consent.
  • Creation or distribution of posts/videos/megaphones/etc. for the sole purpose of impacting another Agent in a negative way (usually described as defamation).
  • Repeated or unwanted actions to annoy another Agent (e.g. flooding with private messages, etc).
  • The use of any ethnic, racial, religious or sexual slurs against another Agent.
  • Directly insulting another Agent (also known as flaming).

Any sort of Harassment, Flaming or Defamation will result in a temporary ban on the account. Further actions after the ban has been cleared will result in a longer ban, eventually leading to a permanent ban.

You are not allowed to sell nor trade any items/credit/bits/accounts on CODE: Closers for any real-life currency (EUR, USD, Bitcoin, etc.).
You are not allowed to trade CODE: Closers items/credit/bits/accounts for other server or game currency/items/accounts.

Any form of Real Money Transactions will result in an immediate permanent ban.

Purchasing PGC cards falls under the additional rules of [LOG_B]. We highly recommend purchasing PGC Cards only from [PGC's Website].

While buying a PGC card for credits is allowed, please keep in mind a few points before you purchase a card from someone else:

Should that person chargeback that card, YOU are the one banned for it
Should you be banned by PGC, we at CODE: Closers cannot remove the ban till the fraudulent payment is returned to PGC.
Should you be scammed out of credits or a PGC card, we cannot return any lost currency.

As mentioned in [LOG_B2], if your account is flagged for a negative balance on PGC, you will be banned.

This negative balance can be cleared up by contacting [PGC Support].

CODE: Closers is unable to remove the ban or have any effect on it till PGC has verified that the negative balance has been cleared.

Participating in scamming within any transaction or action is not allowed and will grant you an immediate ban on your account.

This may include, but is not limited to:

  • Selling already used PGC cards
  • Hosting fake giveaways

All transactions and trades are done at your own risk. The creator of the scam will be punished, but we cannot compensate for any items/credits lost as a result of the scam.

CODE: Closers holds a strict, zero-tolerance protocol in regards to all content deemed as 18+.

This may include, but is not limited to:

  • Nudity/Sexual Content
  • Violence/Gore

All content referencing 18+ content will be removed, and a punishment may be applied to the account.

Interference Devices are in-game aids for buying/selling/creating parties with ease. They should not and cannot be used for personal conversations.

Repetative messages, conversations and otherwise chats that are not buying/selling/looking for parties or members are strictly prohibited.
Defamation, flaming or otherwise harmful messages towards another agent are also not allowed, and also fall under [LOG_A] rules and punishments.

Any sort of Interference Spam will result in a temporary ban on the account. Further abuse and spam after the initial ban has timed out will result in a longer ban, eventually leading to a permanent ban.

With the introduction of the Global Chat, all rules from [LOG_A]. [LOG_B], [LOG_C], [LOG_D], [LOG_E], [LOG_H], [LOG_K] apply to this chat.

Rulebreaking in this chat may result in a temporary ban on the account. Further abuse and spam after the initial ban has timed out will result in a longer ban, eventually leading to a permanent ban.

Rulebreakers should be reported in our [Rulebreaker] section of the forums.

If you wish to submit an appeal, please re-direct your appeal towards the [Ban-Appeal] section.
Public uproar in regards to your ban will not aid you further and is strictly prohibited.

Bans will not be discussed outside of the [Ban-Appeal] section and staff will not comment on a ban unless it is appealed in the [Ban-Appeal] section.

Bans will not be discussed with a Third-party. Only the account owner that has been banned is allowed to appeal the ban.

Note: Forum account bans cannot be appealed.

You are not allowed to impersonate any CODE: Closers staff member nor a relative under any circumstance as it is strictly prohibited.

Please be aware that a staff member will NEVER ask you for any goods in-game, and they will never ask you for any account credentials outside of [Account Support] or [Ban-Appeals].

Note: If you have been caught impersonating any staff member, all your CODE: Closers accounts will be suspended permanently and ban-appeals will be ignored.

CODE: Closers highly suggests against the sharing of accounts.

While it is not specifically against the rules, by sharing accounts you may be punished alongside someone who has received a ban that includes all accounts linked to them.

When you account share, you take all responsibility of what may happen to that account. Actions taken by someone else on your account that break the rules of the game will result in your account being banned, regardless of who was on it.

Items, credits, or anything lost by account sharing will not be restored or compensated.

Exploiting or abusing of any bug/glitch/export within the game will cause your account to be immediately banned or punished. Usage of any sort of program to give you an advantage over another player will also not be tolerated and will lead to a permanent ban.

This may include, but is not limited to:

  • Creating a public video showcasing how to work the bug/glitch/exploit*
  • Publicly releasing how the bug/glitch/exploit with the intentions of getting more to do it
  • Unauthorized reverse engineering the client or client modification to find additional glitches or advantages
  • Usage of macros or botting programs (built in keyboard macros included)
  • Any usage of a 3rd party program not specifically given out by CODE: Closers or provided on our [Homepage] or [Forums]

*Anything that allows you to step away from your computer and continue to play the game is not allowed or tolerated. If you're found to be botting, the ban is permanent and cannot be appealed.

*The only exception to the "creating a video" clause would be a private video to show the staff how the glitch/bug/exploit works and how to reproduce it. Reproducing the bug/glitch/exploit to show the staff how it works will not get you banned. Further abuse beyond showing how it's reproduced will result in a ban or further actions taken against you.

Names should follow all listed rules in [LOG_A], [LOG_D], [LOG_H]. Any name that is deemed to be inappropriate by staff will be asked to change or will be force changed by staff on a maintenance day.

Any account that continues to create inappropriate game names will have a ban placed on their account.

If your character's name is force name changed, we will not provide the Name Change ticket to change it again.

The rules listed above also apply to the Forums. More specific rules that apply to the forums are listed below.

  • 20 points will have your content moderated for 7 days
  • 30 points will have you permanently banned from the forums.

If your account is banned from the forums, it cannot be appealed.

CODE: Closers aims to keep the forums clean, and apprehend agents from behaviour consisting of floodings their
post count. All styles of spamming and post farming are strictly prohibited.
Some example of such behaviour however, not limited to are:

  • Single-word posts (e.g. hi, no, ye,what, etc.)
  • Repeating the same or similar words/phrases consistently and/or just random nonsense.
  • Quoting another agent without adding anything further to the broadcast.
  • Necro-posting (posting in a broadcast that has been inactive for 14 days.)
  • Pyramid quoting (placing quotes within quotes to lengthen your post)
  • Ignorance of the topic within the broadcast, or as it's commonly called, "derailing"
  • Posting embedded videos with auto-play enabled/posting .swf images (sometimes called ".gifs with sound")
  • Broadcasts or posts created for the purpose of generating angry/heated responses ("bait" posts)
  • Intentionally posting several times at a time

There are some exceptions to these rules, which are:

  • +1's in [Suggestions&Feedback]. However, if observed in excess, it may still be ruled as spamming.
  • Hello/Hi/Bye in [Hello&See you]
  • Bumps and Necros by the owner of the threads in the [Black Market] sub-section
  • Bumps and Necros by the owner or those looking to join a circle in the [Circle] sub-section
  • Bumps and Necros by the owner of art galleries, signature/avatar shops, and mod galleries in the [Fan-Media] sub-section

The necro-posting rule does not apply to Pinned & Suggestion&Feedback threads (unless it's inactive/no interest in the threads)

You are only allowed to have only 1 open thread within the [Black Market] at a time. The same applies to [Circle].

If you would like to create a new thread, message and/or mention the staff members with said request to close down your previous thread.

To prevent post farming and acts of that nature in both [Black Market] and [Circles], you are only allowed to be bumped every 24 hours OR if your thread reaches the 3rd page within each sub-forum, respectively.

CODE: Closers does not accept advertisement to take place within the forums in any method available.
Acts of such are prohibited and will lead you to receive punishment, where needed.

Please be aware that discussion of other games/media/etc is not considered advertisement.
However this may only take place within the [Off-topic] section.

Log A's section has been rephrased to clarify that the rules in that section only apply to in-game and our official Discord server.

While we want every Agent to have a pleasant and fun time in our server, please understand that we cannot moderate certain aspects such as Discord private messages or private Discord servers. If someone is giving you an unpleasant time via Discord private messages or private Discord servers, we suggest to block and ignore them or to report it to the owner and/or moderators of the private Discord server.

  • 2 weeks later...

Log L-1 has been updated to include the [Circle] sub-section as part of the necro exceptions.

Owners and those looking to join a circle will no longer have the thread closed for necro!

If you wish to have your thread closed, please ping any Forum Analyst to have it closed.
