  1. Welcome to Back to Basic! Here I will share my knowledge about basic things in Closers Online. DO REMEMBER THAT THIS GUIDE IS BASED ON MY EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE. Also, English is not my first language. If you find any mistakes please kindly tell me! Feedback is always welcome. --- ❈ --- Last updated on Level Cap 89 There are 3 types of damage: Physical Psi/Magic Hybrid If you are confused which equipment you can use to match your damage type, you can see from the weapon frame! Characters that uses Physical damage: Characters that uses Psi/Magic damage: Characters that uses Hybrid damage: --- ❈ --- CONDITIONAL DAMAGE There are 3 main types of conditional damage: Air Strike/Aerial It applies when attacking a target from midair. Back Attack It applies when attacking a target from behind. Chase It applies when attacking a target in midair. Do remember, the difference between aerial attack and chase. - Aerial is you in the midair. - Chase is target in the midair. "I'm new to the game, I don't know what to do!" First thing to do when you're new to the game is to level up until 89. I suggest you follow the story quest or mission to level up. You don't need to think and you get items and materials that are also useful in the future. By following the main mission you will also unlock PNA, Chips and Triggers can be unlocked by clearing a side quest. Just use random gears that's up to date that can give enough damage to follow the story mission. In [CODE:Closers] though, they give you free limited time stuff for equipments. You can use that for easy games. Join a crew/circle! It's very useful, if there's something that you don't know you can ask immediately to your crewmates. --- ❈ --- PROMOTION There's promotion or you could say character's upgrade. Lv.11 or new character : Trainee Lv.20 : Junior Agent/Crew Lv.40 : Official Agent/Crew Lv.67 : Special Agent/Crew Lv.83 : Task Force Rattus' is different. You start at Lv.68 upon creating a new character. To promote Rattus' characters you have to thoroughly follow the Main Story or Main Quest. --- ❈ --- BEGINNER GEARING Lv.62 : Plane Gate Lv.77 : Irina & David Lv.80 : Purification (link to guide is Lv.86) Lv.83 : Wolfgang & Hoffman Lv.85 : Beelzebub (BB) Lv.85 : Busan Lv.87 : Asmodeus I'm not gonna go into details, lot's of other people already make it. It's just the basics one after all. To unlock Triggers, you'll need to complete a side quests chain from Hunter's Night (Lv.85). Find <Jaeri Kim> after completing Chapter 1 of Hunter's Night for Blacklambs/Wolfdogs or immediately upon entering Hunter's Night if you're part of Wildhüters team. Some quests names might be different for each teams. © credit to [FO] Nata in the former Forum. -- Quest 1 : Another Nightmare - Unexpected Subject Hunter's Night - talk to <Shop - Jaeri Kim> Fantasy World: Dream Theatre - talk to <Count D> -- Quest 2 : Another Nightmare - The Answer on the Path Fantasy World: Dream Theatre - talk to <Count D> The Stage of Recollection - Reanimator Origin 0/1 Mission Item Hunter's Night - talk to <Shop - Jaeri Kim> -- Quest 3 : Unknown Material - In Search of Clues Hunter's Night - talk to <Shop - Jaeri Kim> Hunter's Night - talk to <Interdimensional Material Conversion - Bitna> -- Quest 4 : Unknown Material - Program Rampage Hunter's Night - talk to <Interdimensional Material Conversion - Bitna> Battle Program: Hoffman clear 0/1 (Any difficulty will do) Hunter's Night - talk to <Shop - Jaeri Kim> -- Quest 5 : Unknown Material - Oncoming Disaster Hunter's Night - talk to <Shop - Jaeri Kim> Hoffman's Lab[Assault] - VHF Control Device 0/1 Mission Item Hoffman's Lab[Assault] - Oxidant Catalyst 0/10 Mission Item Fantasy World: Dream Theatre - talk to <Count D> Costumes & Accesories Costumes is everyone's happiness in this game. Other than it's beautiful or handsome, it can also add damage to your character. Most common people do with costumes is trading! For trading you need seal. In some raid, you will find some damage patterns. AOE Attack Type AOE type 1: unless it's a KO attack, you can still attack without being interrupted. AOE type 2: you will get interrupted if got hit unless i-framed. AOE type 3: i-frame piercing attack. Either run out of the danger zone or dodge. AOE type 4: nothing can help you avoid this attack aside from running away. You can check here if you need a detailed video. --- ❈ --- It's quite unrelated to Raid "Pattern" but it's a Raid Schedule that people usually like to know. --- ❈ --- --- ❈ --- I might update this guide more and more in the future. Check the last updated version of this guide on the top. Thanks for reading this guide. I made it with blood, sweat and tears trying to make it as beautiful and not boring as possible. ❈ Changelog 3/27/2021 - Trimming and stuff. 4/2/2021 - Fixed mistakes in Beginner Gearing and Daily Raid Schedule.
