  1. I put a CODE: Alchemy video in the "Everything Not Gear Related" document on my guide. And yes, yes I know that I still need to update shit. I know. Give me time, I just came back like....some weeks ago and playing catch up. This will take time before everything's up-to-date.
  2. I updated my Guide and fixed stuff. I gotta make sure y'all can read this. Click the link. The link have the updated info. I repeat. Click the link.
  3. I agree. There was a player named Caetho who used to give the staff feedback because he was worried about the economy before he quit in 2019. He even mentioned that some of the stuff that is bankshareable or tradeable during events can get abused and that it would be a bad idea to make them easily available. A lot of people did not like him for his suggestion on the hell mods during one event. One staff member thought he didn't play the game, even though he used to be one of the most dedicated players in Closers. He quit shortly after because the game wasn't fun anymore and he lost hope. What items? The same items that both me and Miia mentioned and what she just mentioned in her first paragraph. It turns out that he was actually right about a lot of things, and it's not just about making sure that the economy break anymore too. It's because things are getting out of hand, including the red gear. The rest of the second post, I agree. This is why Nightmare Bearland and Abyss, C:C custom content, was created. Nightmare Bearland was created for something to challenge people when it first came out and then reward you by introducing you to a new type of amplifier PNA that's better than the normal Amplifier PNA. You had to be a certain tcp before you could clear it and then when the newer players came along, you told them that to have certain gear in order to play it. Abyss was created for the same thing - for something challenging. They even went as far as to create levels or stages for the current bosses that we have and create tiers of 3 levels. If you're able to beat level 7 and obtain Tier 3 material, you can get the Abyss PNA gene that either gives you damage or gives you more speed. Each level, you had to actually gear your character up in order to actually beat each level. Yes, this actually did encourage people to get stronger because there was something to grind. It would help if we had dungeons that would encourage people to actually gear up in order to clear, much like she's trying to say. The custom content alone is why I appreciate C:C staff, as well as the changes that they've made. They even made sure to keep Wargames the way it is so that we can have a dungeon where we can test our skills if a training room isn't enough to satisfy us and for us to have something to do.
  4. To add on to your point, for those who will come by and see this video, a lot of the stuff that she's talking about now didn't used to always be like this. A lot of the stuff that is now sellable in black market that come from the passes and events used to not be available like they are now. And this would be how the items get their value. - Fortifiers (aka vaccines) - Transcendental Elixirs (aka tsps) - Shape Memory Devices - Chip Protectors Events used to be a time where you could get items that will help your progression. Because some things are tradeable or sellable, people will abuse this by making alt accounts and stacking items in order to sell them later for money, much like she mentioned in the video. The jump event. I agree. There were a lot of reasons why C:C was originally against jump events, but people begged for them so much and they finally got what they wanted. Look at what they're doing with the jump events. You watched the video, go right back to the point in the video where she mentioned that people were making alt accounts just to jump the character that they want. How easy it is now to just buy gear. I agree. I am also a whale, but I also grind. I like playing this game, so I like spending on the game. What do I spend on? Strengthening my gear and pulling gacha. What am I known for? Carrying. What about the FK gear, did you buy it? Yes, for 8b, to prepare for when I return, to set it up, then finish my FK gear, and then take my ass right back to carrying. BK? Dumped 7b on a guardian core when it first came out, and then took that same core and carried everyone else. MK? Bought the core, dropped one module, then bought the other module, then took that gear and helped carry everyone else. Asmo? Same as MK, I dropped and bought gear, then took that gear and carried everyone else. Gate Wave? I was there when it first came out so I grinded and bought material. Ash and Dust trinkets? Grinded and bought material. The main reason why I gear is to carry. Keep the dungeons challenging? I agree. When Abyss first came out, I was one of the people who were excited about the content because the actual reason why Abyss exists was for the custom content to be challenging. This was before we got Conquest and New Seoul. I was excited about Conquest too because I heard that it was challenging. I played during the BB Era. I mostly self taught myself the raid and solo'd. You want to know how long it took me to finish the whole raid? Over an hour. And as time went by, about an hour, then 40 minutes, then 30 minutes, then 16 minutes as I got stronger and stronger. I liked doing the raid so much that I even purposely nerfed myself to 2-3m just to do the raid for practice. Not everyone is like me but I like challenging stuff. Also, the gearing process. I agree. I am aware that not everyone is like me and have the same intention that I have to gear up. To wrap up my post, I pretty much agree with what is said in the video. Sorry if this feels rather short, I've already said a lot of my opinions about this issue in my own thread, but I agree with her perspective as well. If you want to read: https://union.codeclosers.to/index.php?/topic/1852-hear-me-out/
  5. And for those who will come by this thread to either respond or read, there is something I have to tell you. One of the reasons why they made Team Rattus so strong and start at level 67 was to bring people back to the game. They made the Rattus characters (Chulsoo, Mirae, Eunha, Lucy and Aeri) look cool and broken because people like broken characters. People nowadays like to play "meta" characters. If you don't know what meta is, it's basically what's new, or what's popular per say. If a character is broken and they can do a lot of damage, people will play it. If you guys are familiar with the term "bandwagon", you'll understand what I mean now. If you don't remember what bandwagon is, it is basically following the trend, if it makes more sense now. I bring this up because this falls in line. How? I'll tell you. Let's say, for whatever reason, you struggle with dishing out damage with your character you currently play. A person will either go search for how to play the character, self-teach, or complain and say that the character sucks. Aside from complaining about content, I've noticed that a lot of people complain about the characters being weak. I have something to tell you. All the characters, Now? They're not weak. Yes, that's right. Every character now is not weak. I know, shocking. Bamboozled. It's how you play the character. There is probably something that you're doing wrong with the character. You just have to figure it out, granted if you care enough to do so. If you can't figure it out, there is no shame in doing some research. No, you're not going to look uncool or look bad if you research how to play your character. No, you're not going to look stupid if you read a guide or watch a video on how to play the game or the character. No, you're not crazy if you take notes on your character. It's literally all apart of the process. And if you're about to say "But Chichi, the bosses now are-" I know. But, there are also other areas that you can also improve. Yes, I know that Naddic has spaghetti coding. I've heard it a thousand times. I know. If you are familiar with the term "skill issue", this is something that a lot of people have. No, that was not said to be mean or rude. No, this was not said to provoke anyone. This....is a real ass thing. Yes, we are in reality. Yes, you're really reading this. You really did read everything right.
  6. The title. Sit down, grab a snack, pull up a chair, grab a blankie because it's cold as fuck, and make a hot cocoa. A long time ago, I made a conversation alongside my friend about gear skipping. I'm mentioning this because before I even made the post with my friend, waaaayyyyyy back, I've noticed that people were gear skipping, but it was not much of a problem back then so I kept hush-hush about it. When I saw that gear skipping was increasing at an alarming rate, I started to speak up about it. When the new players/ returnee benefits kicked in, I made a suggestion to just turn the gear into materials. At the time, I suggested it because I had a feeling that somewhere down the line, people were going to get used to handouts and become spoiled. On this server, a long time ago, if you got stuff like vaccines, fuel, etc during an event, it felt like an actual event because the items had value. When we first started seeing gear and stuff that we wanted in events in the battle pass, for example, we actually wanted to pay $20 pgc just to get the pass. When we got our gear after grinding, we felt like it was well deserved. I mention this because now, things are easier. Some of the content, you can actually finish in one day if you have alts, a new player, or a returnee. The benefits and gear that you get from the benefits were recently updated, at the time of this post. You can get Dust gear easy, but you still have to farm for Gate Wave gear. What I've noticed from the time of making the post with my friend about to the time I'm making this post is that complaining about content have gotten worse. I've noticed that when Abyss came out with new content, people complained about it because they can't one shot it or can't do big boi damage. People wanted stuff that you would usually get in an event in the craft. People wanted more ways to get valuable shit in an attempt to make people want to play more. I've read and seen just about every complaint under the sun, and honestly, sum were more mind-boggling than others. But, here's the problem: 1. People nowadays are used to finishing content quick. With the generation of gamers that we have now, they hardly will read, have a short-attention span, and used to digesting information quick. If it's not that, it's wanting shit to be done, otherwise they will lose interest. This also includes gear-skipping, which is something that I no longer have an issue about. 2. A lot of the people who currently play MMORPGs are usually playing their very first mmorpg, or not used to playing mmorpg's. They are some of the main people complaining about content. 3. People have lives outside of games. They have school, work, or take care of households and so forth. They don't always have the free time to sit down and grind. All of this, I understand. However.... This is a MMORPG. These type of games are for grinding. You grind until you get what you want and then once you finally get what you're grinding for, you feel like it's well deserved. If it's a super rare item, and it's good enough to make you want it, but you have to grind it, you have to grind it. If you can't even do that, then I would suggest playing another type of game. I'm saying this because complaining about literally anything about the game have gotten worse and worse. It went from complaining about stuff that is understandable (like if Naddic actually does sit down and test their game before they make changes) to something that is ridiculous ( like making a dungeon that is made for DPS easier because you can't one shot the boss or get it done quick). Yes, sadly, the complaining have gotten worse and I knew that this was going to happen if the game kept giving out freebies. Yes, I'm well aware of the intent behind the implementation of new player/ returnee benefits. Yes, I am well aware of the intent behind the implementations of QoLs. Yes, I am well aware of what other servers have. But people nowadays are used to getting, and I'm sorry for sounding rude but, spoonfed stuff to the point where when it comes time to face content that is challenging, they back out, they whine, they complain over and over and over and over about how bad the content is, or, and I'm sorry for being blunt, but they make the most mind-boggling suggestions. Do not get me wrong, I am open-minded. I understand that sometimes, the game sucks, but again, you have to remember that you are playing a MMORPG. I keep bringing this up because it really feels like everyone forgot what type of game they're playing. You are going to have to really work for some things. You can't always swipe your way through everything. Say if a content comes out and you can't swipe your way through everything. What are you going to do? Quit? Come to forums and suggest that they make it to where you can swipe, even though they probably can't? If they can't, then what would you do? Quit? A game like this is not for everyone. Closers is actually a slow-paced game. You're actually supposed to take your time and build, in order to really understand the game. That's the thing that people don't understand. Some stuff, despite the fact that it's time locked, you're supposed to take your time and build until you're finished. Honestly, if you can't even sit through that, then you're better off quitting and playing a more relaxing game or just don't play. I'm not saying all of this to sound harsh. I'm trying to tell you all that things take time. If you can't do it, then what are you still here for. And yes, I am aware that there are people who just casually play. Yes, I know that there are people who just play for costumes and Gacha. Yes, I know that people play to just sit on the tcp board. Yes, I know there are try-hard people. I go hard on Closers because I still like the game. What about you? What do you play for? Are you still sticking to what you originally played the game for? Are you happy so far on your journey? If not, what's making you unhappy? And if it continues, what will you do then? And if that doesn't work, then what will you do? And if that doesn't work, what then? I won't even get into prices. It could not be helped. I called the prices getting worse too. It was bound to happen. I knew that the economy was going to get worse if something could not be done to prevent it. Well? What are y'all going to do? Still do the same thing? If you say yes, then, know this. The more time you sit around and whining all day, the more time that you waste instead of getting your shit done. I know that it's hell, but you will feel much better when the job is done. If that doesn't help you, then, I don't know what else to tell you. I'd like thank whoever took the time to read this long post.
  7. Because I haven't even finished updating it yet.
  8. So the old one is outdated and I just left a tl;dr on it. So, here's the new one (I'll be updating this later because the PNA Revamp is about to hit so I'll wait until then.) https://docs.google.com/document/d/1jj6qSQtQBALpd8u7FEody0m_yRuCInBEwDqznuiPf3I/edit?usp=sharing
  9. Bump. I might open the discord up for guests.
  10. So um....... the crew discord is finally open but it's for members only. We're not accepting guests at this time. I'll think about it later on, but for now, no.
  11. Yes, after all this time, I am finally recruiting. Yes, the guild is level 10. Yes, we have buffs. Yes, we have reputation buffs. No, we don't have a fucking inactivity rule. Yes, we don't give a fuck if you're new, experienced, or whatever the fuck. Yes, we do crew dungeon here. Whatever works. The only thing we ask of you is to act like you have some fucking common sense and don't do any stupid shit. That's literally all we ask of you. Now, before I place this discord link down, we're going to have some ground rules. - Keep in mind that you will be in MY discord. Try to join just to start some shit and you will find out how much of a bitch I can be. This is a new discord. I threw my old one out. Try to come in just to be petty and I'll make sure you get the reaction you're looking for. - I help people outside of my guild too. If you're coming in just for help, sure. If you're a friend of mine and coming in just to be a guest, sure. Leave the bullshit at the door and we'll all have a good time. - Come in with the intention to CHILL. I had to underline that because some people are hardheaded as fuck and don't know how to read. Now. Imma warn you again. If you come in to start some shit, expect the reaction you may or may not be looking for. Nothing but Space and Opportunity. https://discord.com/invite/ytSbkqc463 If you're interested, you can either apply in-game, slap your IGN here or whatever rocks your boat. If you need to find me on discord to talk about joining the crew...or guild...whatever. Finding me in the C:C discord is not that hard. If you're too lazy to join the C:C discord, then add chiharuhyuga, I guess. Please do not join my crew just for the sake of stirring up drama. I promise you that you will regret it later on. I only ask if you join solely for the sake of wanting to chill. Last thing: WE DO NOT GIVE A FUCK WHERE YOU'RE FROM, YOU CAN JOIN.
  12. So, I added a new section to my guide after lurking the C:C Discord and seeing numerous people ask how to grind credits. This is somewhat of a summed version and some of the information is subjected to change as we get newer content. Imma slap the link to the section here. However, I updated the first page of this thread with the information of this section of the guide aka just look on the first page and scroll down if you want to read it. How to Grind Credits
  13. So, the chips section of the guide got a bit of a revamp. This, actually, was on my to-do list for a long ass time. I shit you now, every time I've wanted to update it, there was always new gacha to burn, newer content to do, something to do and I could never get to it. I FINALLY had the time to sit down and update it. ...Finally. It also comes with a revamped Reading Rainbow. Please use the Reading Rainbow with this section of the guide otherwise you are going to be lost as all of fuck. Thank me later.
